Chicago Pneumatic Tools (CP) has an exciting remote opportunity for a collaborative, driven, and transformative sales leader to improve substantial growth in the Advanced Wheel Solutions (AWS) and Vehicle Service markets.

CP Tools is seeking a sales leader who can lead a sales team to drive growth in the heavy truck, bus and mining vehicle market in the USA and Canada.

The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in the AWS Market including heavy truck and bus fleets and manufacturers, as well as vehicle service. Recruit, lead, and support a team that includes Key Account Managers (KAMS), National Account Manager (NAM) and Area Sales Managers (ASM). Lead team to meet the sales plan which is aligned with business targets of increasing sales to the customer base, optimizing pricing, and improving customer satisfaction.

Duties inlcude, but is not limited to:

  • Establish monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for all direct reports and distributor partners.

  • Use unit-specific scorecards with annual targets and trend forecasts to analyze performance on a monthly basis.

  • Measure gaps between desired performance and actual performance and raises red flags to indicate a deviation.

  • Seek help from the Business Line Manager while creating countermeasures to close the gaps and exceed the expectations.

  • Improve pricing to target segments and important customers.

  • Develop sales channel competence through training, coaching, feedback, and course correction activities.

  • Keep the team motivated, focused, and accountable for performance against established targets.

  • Coach team to meet expectations including competencies they need to master our values and expected behaviors.

  • Perform a quarterly review of the plan, actions, and progress with the Business Line Manager.

  • Perform other responsibilities as needed.

To succeed, you will need  

  • CRM experience required

  • 10+ years' experience selling to Heavy Truck & Bus Fleets required

  • 5+ years' selling to heavy truck & bus and equipment manufacturers required

  • 5+ years' experience leading a sales team and achieving sales growth in B2B environment

  • Demonstrated experience leading change in an organization

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (a master's degree is preferred)
