Roles and Responsibilities

Inside Sales Representative job responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Achieve & exceed assigned sales goals by developing action plans and schedules to identify specific sales prospects, targets, and/or markets and to project number of contacts to be made. Prospect, source, and maintain quality customers in assigned area.  Manage, and sell directly to customers and distributors in assigned area.  Think creatively in order to encourage sales and account growth, through use of marketing, product manager support and collaborative brainstorming with the greater sales team.
  • Properly manage, diagnose, nurture and dispatch new inbound leads and referrals through Salesforce.
  • Establish rapport and maintain regular contact with existing and new customers. Respond promptly to customer inquiries.  Identifies future product and customer needs and communicates the information to the Customer Success Manager and appropriate Product Manager(s).
  • Actively engage in planned and unplanned prospecting activities geared at increasing the customer base, and continually increasing market share.
  • Be enthusiastic to learn and challenge their growth mindset by taking advantage of all presented opportunities for growth, education, training, customer engagement, etc.  
  • Provide technical assistance to customers in the selection of tools, parts and accessories, and application knowledge for all CP brands of products.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Location: Rock Hill, South Carolina

To succeed, you will need  

 Experience

  • 1+ year in business-to-business sales and customer relations management or inside sales experience  
  • 2+ years of technical experience in an industrial and or automotive aftermarket environment preferred

Education

  • 2-year technical degree, 4-year bachelor’s degree, or high school diploma/GED with relevant work experience.

Skills

  • Fluent in English.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Must enjoy communicating with distributor partners and customers via phone and email
  • Capability to make creative solutions based on the product portfolio.
  • Ability to motivate, review pipeline opportunities, create a strategic plan of action and develop an effective cadence of communication with customers and colleagues including:
    • Developing and maintaining relationships
    • Product technical support
    • Customer application support
    • Managing and closing large opportunities

Travel

  • Occasional business travel throughout North America, including Mexico, Canada, and occasionally other international travel.
