Mission:

The Power Technique aftermarket service and parts business in the United States is assigned to the regions and reaches the market via multiple channels, including dealer representation and direct business.  This position will further develop the aftermarket business in the assigned region.

In the role as Regional Sales Manager – Aftermarket, you will communicate closely with The Sales Director, Service Center Manager(s), Business Line Manager – Aftermarket and key customer accounts to fully understand and serve the customers’ needs.

Focus will be given to growing service revenue with national accounts and dealers utilizing power equipment, including but not limited to air compressors, generators, breakers, hand tools, light towers, and pumps.

The main responsibility for this position will be to drive the growth of Power Technique service and parts business in the assigned region.
 This will be a challenging role which includes, but will not be limited to, the following: 

  • Manage activities to develop effective account relationships necessary to grow the aftermarket business as a percentage of total sales at existing accounts and add targeted of new customers in the region.
  • Regular visits to major mobile equipment dealers and establish strong relationships with key aftermarket managers.
  • Present service products to key accounts to drive business to the service center(s).
  • Work closely with the Service Center Manager(s) and coordinate efforts to match workload at the service center.
  • Manage assigned service leads to develop parts and service business.
  • Develop maintenance programs to serve local customer needs, with the goal of implementing service agreement with key customers.
  • Maintain a high level of service and parts knowledge with the capacity to develop a solid understanding of our business culture.
  • Work to understand, teach and utilize information and communication systems and tools, i.e. Office 365, Cloud for Sales, SAP, etc. 
     

 
To succeed, you will need  

Experience:

Minimum of three years of related work experience in Capital Equipment Sales (rental or civil construction industries) is preferred.

A strong understanding of the US construction Equipment market will be a clear advantage. 
Knowledge and experience in sales via distribution and US rental industry is required.

Education:

A 4-year degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar with a minimum of 5 years of experience in aftermarket or sales management is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Certifications/Licenses: 
Maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Travel:

Must be able to travel extensively (usually by airplane or automobile) throughout the assigned area, US and globally as needed to coordinate activities. Approximately 60% travel is expected.

Salary range for this positon is 77,030-115,550 based on exprience.

Communication Abilities: 
Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Monthly reporting to division will be mandatory. 
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. 

Math Abilities: 
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. 
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. 

 Reasoning Abilities: 
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram or schedule form. 
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables situations where only limited standardization exists. 
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 
Ability to navigate and comprehend a complex supply chain and leverage accordingly. 
Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, high demand environment.

Maintain an open mind when working with co-workers or supervisors to learn new approaches. 
Maintain a high level of service and parts knowledge with the capacity to develop a solid

Work to understand, teach and utilize information and communication systems and tools, i.e. e-mail,
BPCS, Microsoft Office software, etc.

Computer Skills: 
Must have working knowledge of computer and smart phone applications as well as Outlook and Microsoft Office applications. Experience in sales force databases is desirable.

Language Ability: 
Must be able to read English, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals is required. Has the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Working knowledge of Spanish is preferred.
