Chicago Pneumatic has an exciting Product Sales Engineer opportunity where you will be responsible for driving our solid growth ambitions in penetrating full market potential in Indonesia. Your roles and responsibilities will vary from customer consultation which includes supporting key dealer accounts focusing mainly in  leading them to develop and acquire new customers and expand businesses,  but also develop business directly in specific applications that our portable air compressor and construction handheld tools portfolio provides solution as well as obtain and manage key accounts. This is the perfect opportunity for a highly organized team player who appreciates taking ownership of their role and aspires for leadership roles. 

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

Expected travel rate of up to 60% within Indonesia

International travel may be required, including factory visits and attending regional meetings and trainings

To succeed, you will need  

You will make your biggest impact in: 

  • Execution of sales development plan by promoting and selling of CP portable air compressors and construction handheld tools solutions portfolio in the target market segments in Indonesian territory.
  • Providing ground product & customer technical and application support - key point of contact for dealers and end-customers, answering queries, providing technical advice and demonstrating equipment solutions
  • Tracking market developments, collaborating with sales, marketing and service teams, providing inputs for creating strategies, setting up sales plans, and developing and nurturing dealers and customer relations
  • Handling and closing large opportunities
  • Supporting key dealer accounts
  • Identifying and prospecting for high potential end-users in the territory relative to CP portable air and tools market segments focus and strategy

We seek your expertise in:

  • Proposing, presenting, negotiating and closing deals at local, mid-management, and executive levels with dealers and end customers
  • Engaging on new potential customers, identifying and understanding customer needs
  • Teaching and offering valuable insights that may never crossed a customer’s mind
  • Tailoring customized sales to customer’s needs and concerns
  • Taking control of the customer’s sales experience.
  • Providing technical information and training on CP Portable Air & Tools products and applications.
  • Assisting the dealers during joint visits to the end-customers.
  • Handling large opportunities with key customers to provide technical support and build out solutions that will drive efficiency for the end user and profitable growth for CP.

To ensure your success in this role, CP requires the following:

  • 2 years’ experience promoting and selling construction or industrial equipment – knowledge and experience in portable air compressors an advantage and definitely a plus
  • 2 years previous experience working with customers in construction, mining, utility, oil & gas and other industrial segments with similar applications.. 
  • Technical capability to learn and utilize IT tools such as
    • Microsoft Teams to host virtual meetings, provide online trainings, etc.
    • SAP C4C customer relationship management (CRM) system for regular reporting of sales activities, leads generation, opportunity conversion sales quotes and sales forecasting,
    • Power BI in reading reports and graphs to aid market and business analysis
