Chicago Pneumatic Provides Tools and Compressors for 2009 TMC SuperTech Competition

Chicago Pneumatic provided pneumatic wrenches and air compressors for the tire and wheel skills competition station for the third consecutive year at the 2009 Technology & Maintenance Council’s National Technician Skills Competition – TMC SuperTech.

TMC SuperTech, an annual event held in conjunction with TMC’s Fall Meeting, was held in Raleigh, N.C., on Sept. 14-17. Contestants used Chicago Pneumatic’s CP7778-6 one inch impact wrenches and the CP7600 non-impact wrench powered by Chicago Pneumatic’s QRS 15 air compressors to complete their tasks in the tire and wheel skills competition station. Christopher Tate, the winner of the tire and wheel, wheel end and written skills stations, and ultimate overall event champion, took home a $1,000 gift certificate from Chicago Pneumatic.

The CP7600, a unique one-inch pneumatic non-impact wrench that turns heavy duty wheel fastening into a one-step process, received rave reviews from technicians during the competition. The CP7778-6 features an efficient 6-vane motor that delivers 1,450 ft.-lbs. of torque, 5000 rpm and 700 bpm.
