Jenny Russell, Head Teacher of Holtsmere End Infant and Nursery School commented: "We are absolutely delighted to receive this donation, which means we can now equip every one of our children with a high visibility vest for future school excursions and local trips. This is something that had been high on our wish list for a long time, but hadn't been possible due to budget restrictions; until now! It's crucial to teach children about the importance of road safety from a young age, and these vests will go a long way to instilling this in the minds of our children."

The bright yellow high visibility safety vests, that are suitable for children up to seven years of age, have been donated on a permanent basis to Holtsmere End Infant and Nursery School. The school has been educating children between the ages of three and seven years old in Hemel Hempstead's Woodhall Farm community since being established in 1981.

In addition to being used for school trips, the safety vests will also form part of a new educational campaign within the school to highlight the importance of being safe and vigilant on roads in the local area. Jenny Russell added: "I know our children will be really excited to try on the vests for the first time, which will help us to explain how we intend to use them and most importantly why."
